The Residential Installation Process
1. Free survey
We visit your home, assess the existing floor, discuss your vision, and provide a fixed-price written quote.
2. Preparation
We protect adjacent surfaces, prepare the substrate (clean, prime, fill any voids), and set up for a clean installation.
3. Overlay application
We apply the 5–8mm overlay in multiple coats, sanding between each layer to build up a smooth, consistent surface.
4. Sealing
2–3 coats of sealer in your chosen finish (matte, satin, or gloss) are applied and allowed to cure fully.
5. Handover
We inspect the finished floor with you, provide aftercare instructions, and leave your home clean and tidy.
Most residential rooms take 3–5 days on site. You can walk on the floor (with care) within 24 hours of the final coat, and resume normal use within 7 days.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you install over my existing tiles without removing them?
Yes — as long as they’re firmly adhered and the floor is stable, we apply our overlay directly over your tiles. No removal needed.
Will my floor height change?
Our 5–8mm overlay adds a small amount of height to your floor. We assess this during the survey and advise if any adjustments are needed to door frames or transitions.
Is it safe for children and pets?
Absolutely. Once sealed, polished concrete is non-toxic, easy to clean, and no harder underfoot than tiles or stone. We can apply anti-slip additives for added safety in kitchens and bathrooms.
Can I have it in different colours in different rooms?
Yes — we can apply different tones or finishes room by room. Many clients choose a slightly warmer tone for living areas and a cooler grey for bathrooms.
What happens if it gets scratched?
The overlay itself is very hard-wearing. If the sealer gets scratched over time, a maintenance coat can restore it. This is a simple and low-cost process.
